South Beach Cafe, Devon Cliffs, Exmouth

Image
During our May Bank Holiday break at Devon Cliffs, Sandy Bay, Exmouth we paid another visit to the South Beach Cafe. Last year in 2023 I had the Seafood Chowder which is one of the tastiest meals I’ve ever had. Returning in 2024 I obviously had to have this again, and once more it didn’t disappoint! The menu is quite heavy on the fish/seafood side but being right next to the sea it’s a great choice of meals. Drinks are also good, a nice selection of Devon based beers and ales and a varied selection of wines and spirits. Pricing is not bad for certain dishes, a meal including starters and 2 rounds of drinks was just over £60, so at around £20 each for 2 courses and drinks is good value.  We sat outside at the end of May 2024, and it was very comfortable with a light breeze and lots of sunshine. I highly recommend a trip to South Beach Cafe, Exmouth. If you have small children the menu is varied too with lots of choices.  4.8 out of 5.

A Week at Devon Cliffs, Sandy Bay, Exmouth

We always take a week’s break to Devon Cliffs, Sandy Bay, Exmouth in the late May half term. Several factors why including work holiday periods being allowed, school holidays and the weather! We’ve been coming at this time every year for the past several years and never had a bad week, in fact we once did a week in August hoping for better weather and it rained every single day!  If you’re looking for a review of the site, I think that we’ve been coming back so many times speaks volumes. The park resort itself is pristine and clean and well looked after. You obviously get the occasional holiday person who lets themselves down by not cleaning up afterwords, if not going to the bins but overall it’s extremely clean and looked after. The amenities on site are excellent, including shops, Starbucks, Burger King and new for 2024 Slim Chickens and Chopstix.  This year (May 2024) we chose a caravan in Ivy Close from a private owner, cannot rate them highly enough. The caravan was ver...
